Ever wondered what apps would best assist you in running an event? Well, instead of you having to download all the possible options, we have compiled our favourite six apps that we KNOW have benefits when planning an event.
Canva is a user-friendly, design platform allowing you to create anything from a resume to a social media post. It displays dimensions (in pixels) of all these options and even allows you to create anything custom sized. The best thing is.. it’s FREE, and you can even collaborate with up to 10 team members.

Hootsuite is our second best friend! This app allows you to compose and schedule social media posts (on any platform may I add) and once again, it’s FREE! (unless you are scheduling more than 30 posts per month). Also… some apps send you a notification to post, but not hootsuite, your photos will be posted straight to your platforms.
Scannable will change your life! Forget scanning your documents through the printer. Scannable uses your phones camera to transform your pieces of paper into high-quality scans ready to share on the spot. Once again this app is FREE.

Eventbrite is the perfect ticketing platform. It’s user-friendly style allows you to easily add an event, along with all the details! If you are a small business or just holding a few events the ‘Essentials’ plan will suit you costing, 49c per transaction with a 2% fee. However, if you are a larger business the ‘Professional’ plan allows you to collect data from previous events held! This plan sets you back 99c per transaction with a 5% fee.
MailChimp is the world’s largest automation platform. Enabling you to send out automatic emails to all subscribers. This is the perfect way to get your event marketing out there! Packages include: ‘New Business’ this one is FREE (but only for a certain amount of subscribers) ‘Growing Business’ starting at $10 per month and ‘Pro Marketer’ adding an additional $199 per month.
Trello is the ultimate tool to help organise your prject. It seperates your teams works up into boards and helps you to be organised and keep an eye on how everyone in the team is travelling. This software also comes in 3 different pricing packages from FREE to Business Class ($9.99 per month) and Enterprise ($20.83 per month).
Whilst these apps are fantastic for planning events, the main thing to remember is to not over-complicate things. Only use the apps on this list that will make your life easier and more organised.
